Vera Farmiga
Biography
Vera Farmiga began her professional acting career on stage in the original Broadway production of Taking Sides (1996). She gained recognition for her role as a drug addict in the drama Down to the Bone (2004), followed by performances in The Manchurian Candidate, The Departed, and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Farmiga's standout roles include Lorraine Warren in the Conjuring Universe films and leading lady in Higher Ground (2011), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.
