Barbara Whinnery is an American actress from Berkeley, California, best known for her role as Dr. Cathy Martin on the television drama St. Elsewhere. She trained at the Actor's Conservatory Theater in San Francisco alongside Denzel Washington and Cynthia Sikes. Whinnery later transitioned to teaching at The Acting Place in Los Angeles, California, while maintaining a career in film and television.
