Moon Jae-in
Biography
Moon Jae-in is a South Korean politician and lawyer born on January 24, 1953, to North Korean refugees. He rose to prominence as a human rights activist and was imprisoned for organizing a protest against the Yushin Constitution. Moon went on to serve as senior secretary for civil affairs and chief of staff to President Roh Moo-hyun before becoming the 12th president of South Korea from 2017 to 2022.
