Biography

Osamah Sami is an Australian stage and screen actor born in Qom, Iran of Iraqi origin. He was raised in a family that fled Iraq after his father, a Shiite cleric, escaped from prison under Saddam Hussein. Sami studied Arts at Kanoon Pavaresh Fekri before emigrating to Melbourne, Australia with his family at 12. He gained recognition for his role as Ali in the 2017 film Ali's Wedding and later starred in "Shayda" (2023).
