Jean-Babtiste Alaize

Biography

Jean-Baptiste Alaize, born May 10, 1991, in Burundi, was born during the Burundian Civil War. At three years old, his leg was amputated, but he found a new talent for running at his French school's sports day. Adopted by Robert and Daniele Alaize, he discovered a passion for athletics and joined the INSEP in 2010, earning recognition as a long jump world champion four times under 23 years.
