Biography

Enno Patalas was a renowned German film historian and expert in film preservation, known for his work on classic films such as Fritz Lang's Metropolis, M – Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder, and Die Nibelungen. As the former head of the Munich Film Museum (1973-1994), he led restorations that helped preserve cinematic heritage. He also collaborated with Ulrich Gregor on the influential film history book "Geschichte des Films".
