River Gallo is a Salvadoran-American filmmaker, actor, and intersex rights activist from New Jersey. Born without testicles, Gallo has become a vocal advocate against unnecessary cosmetic surgeries performed on children with atypical genitals. They are the creator and lead actor of the 2019 short film Ponyboi, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, and have won a GLAAD award for their work.
