Jo Woodcock is a British actress born on September 9, 1988, in Turnbridge Wells, Kent. She began her acting career at age 12 in the crime drama Hero of the Hour (2000). Her breakthrough role came in 2007 as Alice in the TV miniseries Torn, earning critical acclaim alongside veteran actors Holly Aird and Bradley Walsh. This marked a turning point in her career, following which she went on to appear in notable productions such as Tess of the d'Urbervilles (2008) and Dorian Gray (2009).
