Biography

Nikita Petrov is a Russian historian and expert on Soviet security services. He has written extensively on the subject, including a book about Nikolai Ezhov, for which he collaborated with Marc Jansen. In 2005, Petrov was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland for his work on the repressions of Polish people during WWII. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Amsterdam.
