Hesham Selim

Biography

Hesham Selim was an Egyptian film and television actor who began his career at age 12 in Faten Hamama's Empire M (1972). He went on to appear in notable films such as Alexandria Again and Forever (1989) and The Puppeteer (1989), and later became a host on the talk show Hiwar Al Qahira, discussing LGBT+ rights in Egypt. Selim passed away at 64 after a long battle with lung cancer.
