Lois Moran was a stage and film actress born Lois Darlington Dowling on March 1, 1909, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She began her career at the Paris National Opera as a singing and dancing teenager before moving to Broadway with credits in Of Thee I Sing (1931) and This Is New York (1930). Her Hollywood debut came at age 14 with the 1925 film Stella Dallas, cementing her early success in the industry.
