Manfred Krug
Biography
Manfred Krug was a prominent East German artist who rose to fame in the GDR before moving to West Germany in 1977. He appeared in notable films like "Fünf Patronenhülsen" and later gained roles as an actor after his migration, while rarely singing publicly for many years. A vocal critic of the GDR government's treatment of dissident Wolf Biermann, Krug's activism led to his banishment from the country.
