Gengoroh Tagame
Biography
Gengoroh Tagame is a Japanese manga artist regarded as the most influential creator in the gay manga genre. He began contributing to Japanese gay men's magazines in the 1980s and later co-founded the gay men's magazine G-men in 1995. His breakout success came with the publication of his manga series The Toyed Man in 1994, followed by mainstream recognition in the 2010s for his non-pornographic LGBT-themed works.
