Pia Colombo
Biography
Pia Colombo was a French singer of Franco-Italian origin, born Eliane Marie Amélie Pia Colombo on July 6, 1934. She was compared to Édith Piaf and was believed to be her successor, but her intellectual style did not resonate with the general public. A politically committed artist, Colombo interpreted the work of composers such as Maurice Fanon and Serge Gainsbourg, and appeared in various theatrical productions, including Bertolt Brecht's works.
