Gerhard Rachold

Biography

Gerhard Rachold was a German stage actor who had notable roles in films and television productions during his tenure at DEFA. He also performed with the Kleist-Theater Frankfurt (Oder), where he spent most of his career. His film debut came in 1956, followed by numerous other film appearances, including "The Sons of Great Bear" (1966). Rachold tragically took his own life on May 18, 1993, following the death of his wife.
