Bill Hunter was a prominent Australian actor of film, stage, and television, best known for his roles in "Muriel's Wedding," "Strictly Ballroom," and "Kangaroo Jack." A two-time winner of the Australian Film Institute Awards, he also received a Centenary Medal for his contributions. Before becoming an actor, Hunter was a talented swimmer, holding a world record for the 100 yards freestyle before being broken by another athlete in just 10 minutes.
