Roy Halston Frowick, known as Halston, was an American fashion designer who rose to international fame in the 1970s with his minimalist, clean designs that redefined American fashion. His designs, often crafted from luxurious fabrics like cashmere and Ultrasuede, helped define the look of 1970s American style. He became a household name after creating the iconic pillbox hat worn by Jacqueline Kennedy at John F. Kennedy's presidential inauguration in 1961.
