Biography

Alain Boublil is a French musical theatre lyricist and librettist known for his collaborations with Claude-Michel Schönberg on Broadway and London's West End productions of La Révolution Française, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, The Pirate Queen, and Marguerite. Born in Tunisia to a Sephardic Jewish family in 1941, Boublil has created some of the most successful musicals of all time, including Les Misérables, which became the longest-running musical in West End history.
