Gerry Duggan
Biography
Gerry Duggan was an Irish-Australian character actor born in Dublin in 1910, who made his film debut at almost 50 with The Siege of Pinchgut (1959), earning a BAFTA nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. He went on to appear in small roles in film and television in Australia, Britain, and the West End, utilizing his Irish brogue, pronounced lisp, and prominent jaw as trademarks. Notable roles include Joe Blunt in Dark Age (1987) and Pat Fulton in Four Desperate Men (1959).
