Biography

Henrique Vaz de Canto e Castro, known professionally as Canto e Castro, was a Portuguese actor who began his career in 1946 with the Comediantes de Lisboa. He won the Eduardo Brazão award from the Conservatorio Nacional de Lisboa in 1947 and later became part of the Teatro Nacional's elenco fijo. In 1964, he won the Premio de la crítica for his work at the Teatro Nacional.
