Hannes Messemer was a German actor from Dillingen an der Donau, Bavaria, known for his notable roles in films like "The Odessa File", where he played General Glücks, and "General Della Rovere", where he portrayed S.S. Colonel Mueller. His breakout role came in 1957 with the award-winning performance of SS-Gruppenführer Rossdorf in "The Devil Strikes at Night". After World War II, Messemer escaped from Soviet captivity and began his acting career in the late 1940s.
