Biography

Yuri Bogatyryov was a renowned Soviet actor born on March 2, 1947, in Riga, Latvia, who graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School in 1968. He became one of the most celebrated actors of his generation through collaborations with director Nikita Mikhalkov, including standout performances in films like "Slave of Love" and "Five Evenings". Bogatyryov was designated People's Artist of Russia in 1988 before his tragic death on February 2, 1989.
