Tomoko Ai is a Japanese actress born on October 29, 1954, in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. She rose to international attention with her starring role as Katsura Mafune in the 1975 film Terror of Mechagodzilla. Ai also appeared in Ultraman Leo (1974-75) and went on to have a prolific career in television and film, including roles in dramas such as Spring Painting and The Swindler's Scandal.
