Biography

Mikhail Sergeyevich Boyarsky, born December 26, 1949, in Leningrad, Soviet Union, began his theatrical career as an extra in F.M. Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" before landing a role in G. Gladkov's musical "The Troubadour and His Friends," catapulting him to fame with starring roles in the film "Elder Son" (1975) and the Soviet-Romanian musical "Mama" (1976). He went on to become a renowned actor, singer, musician, and artistic director of the Benefis Theater in St. Petersburg. Boyarskiy was awarded several honors for his contributions, including the Order of Friendship and People's Artist of the RSFSR.
