Hussein Fahmy

Biography

Hussein Fahmy is a renowned Egyptian actor of Circassian descent, born in Cairo to an aristocratic family. He graduated from the High Cinema Institute and studied directing at UCLA, earning an MFA degree. A leading movie star and humanitarian, Fahmy was appointed UNDP Regional Goodwill Ambassador for the Arab States in 1998 and later became President of the Cairo International Film Festival, showcasing his dedication to film and social causes.
