Biography

Menderes Samancılar is a Turkish actor of Kurdish origin, born on May 1, 1954, in Adana. He made his cinematic debut in 1975 with Yılmaz Duru's movie İnce Memed Vuruldu and went on to star in over 80 films before transitioning to television. Samancılar has also explored poetry and screenwriting, publishing two poetry books: Sonbaharın Saritsu Vurdular Gece (2003) and Yanmış Orman Kokusu (2016).
