Biography

Sherrod Campbell Brown is a liberal, progressive, and populist Democrat who has been serving as Ohio's senior U.S. senator since 2007. A former Ohio state representative, secretary of state, and U.S. representative, Brown is the only Democratic statewide elected official in Ohio. He has chaired the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and served on key committees, including Finance, Veterans' Affairs, and Ethics.
