Andrey Martynov, born October 24, 1945, in Ivanovo, Russian SFSR, began his acting career after graduating from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts in 1970. He gained widespread recognition with his debut in the 1972 film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet," and has since acted for prominent studios, including Gorky Film Studio. Martynov has received numerous awards for his work, including the People's Artist of Russia title in 1994.
