Biography

Joschka Fischer is a German former politician and leading figure in the Alliance 90/The Greens party since the 1970s. He served as Germany's foreign minister and vice chancellor under Gerhard Schröder from 1998 to 2005, being the most popular politician in Germany during that time. In 2010, he supported the creation of the Spinelli Group, an EU initiative aimed at federalizing the European Union.
