Kaimana
Biography
Kaimana is a US-born actress of Samoan descent, born in the late 1980s on the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu. She is a Faʻafafine, identifying as biologically male but socially feminine, and uses feminine pronouns and the name "Kaimana," meaning "diamond" in Hawaiian. Kaimana's breakout role in Taika Waititi's Next Goal Wins (2023) cemented her international recognition, playing the lead role of Jaiyah Saelua, an American-Samoan footballer and Faʻafafine.
