Biography

Laraaji, born Edward Larry Gordon, is a multi-instrumentalist known for his work in Brian Eno's Ambient series, specifically the 1980 release Ambient 3: Day of Radiance. He studied composition and piano at Howard University and began experimenting with the zither, converting it into an electronic instrument. Laraaji developed his unique sound, busking in New York City's parks and sidewalks, and later gained recognition for his music.
