Louise Marleau

Biography

Louise Marleau is a Canadian actress born on August 26, 1944. She won the 1985 Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role and was nominated in 1980 for Heartbreak, which earned her Best Actress at the 1979 Montreal World Film Festival. With a career spanning over five decades, she has performed with Canada's major theatrical companies, including the Stratford Festival. She recently translated Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues into French.
