Benjamin Thomas Barnes was born on August 20, 1981, in southwest London to a psychiatrist and relationship psychotherapist. He graduated from Kingston University with a BA in Drama and English Literature before launching his acting career, which has included notable roles in The Chronicles of Narnia, Westworld, and Shadow and Bone. Barnes also pursued a music career, releasing his debut single and album in 2021 and 2025, respectively.
