Marcel Herrand was a French stage and film actor renowned for his swashbuckling roles in historical films. His most iconic part remains as Lacenaire in Marcel Carné's "Children of Paradise" (1945), alongside notable performances in "Fanfan la Tulipe" (1952) as King Louis XV and "The Last Days of Pompeii" (1950). With over 25 film credits between 1932 and 1952, Herrand left a lasting mark on French cinema.
