Dora Doll was a French actress born in Berlin in 1922 to a Russian-Jewish banker who was expelled after the 1917 Revolution. She came to France at the end of the 1930s and began her acting career with stage debut, soon learning French, Italian, and English. Notable film roles include Juliette in Manon (1949), Lola in Touchez pas au grisbi (1954), and Genisse in French Cancan (1955).
