Biography

Andrea Fay Friedman, born in 1970, was a trailblazing actress with Down syndrome, building a 35-year career that included notable roles on Life Goes On and Baywatch, as well as appearances in films like Smudge and television shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Family Guy. Her breakout voice acting role came in the Family Guy episode "Extra Large Medium." Friedman won the 1998 Humanitas Prize for her work in the film Smudge. She passed away in 2023.
