James Serpento

Biography

James Serpento is a Midwestern performing artist and educator, shaped by his formative years in Iowa and training at Iowa State University and Indiana University. He credits institutions like Chicago Dramatists and the Bloomington Playwrights Project with nurturing his writing talents. Serpento has worked extensively in Chicago and Los Angeles, directing stage productions and collaborating with notable artists. His recent projects include a musical adaptation of Euripides' "The Bacchae" and two new plays.
