Shonda Rhimes

Biography

Shonda Rhimes is a renowned American television producer and screenwriter, best known for creating hit medical dramas Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off Private Practice, as well as the political thriller Scandal. She became the first African American female showrunner to create three television dramas that have achieved the 100 episode milestone. Rhimes has won numerous awards, including a Golden Globe Award, and was inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2015.
