Biography

Christopher Larkin Stephens is an English actor born on June 19, 1967, at Middlesex Hospital in London. The elder son of actors Dame Maggie Smith and Sir Robert Stephens, he adopted the stage name Larkin to distance himself from his famous parents and pay tribute to his favorite poet Philip Larkin. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) before landing notable roles in films like Hitler: The Rise of Evil and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.
