Véra Clouzot
Biography
Véra Clouzot was a Brazilian-French actress and screenwriter born in Rio de Janeiro to a prominent family. She met French actor Léo Lapara in 1941, married him, and took part in his theater company's South American tour before settling in Paris after World War II. In France, she began working as an actress, landing notable roles in her husband Henri-Georges Clouzot's films, including The Wages of Fear (1953) and Les Diaboliques (1955).
