Georges Auric

Biography

Georges Auric was a French composer born in Lodève, Hérault, France on February 15, 1899. He gained recognition as a child prodigy and became a protégé of Erik Satie at a young age. Before turning 20, he had orchestrated and written incidental music for several ballets and stage productions. Auric went on to have a distinguished career as a film composer, contributing his work to notable collaborations like L'Album des Six and Les Mariés de la tour Eiffel.
