Charlie Briggs was a prolific American actor born in Henderson, North Carolina in 1932. He began his acting career in 1958, appearing in popular TV series such as Maverick and Cheyenne, before branching out into film in the 1960s, starring in notable movies like The Absent-Minded Professor and Charley Varrick. Briggs continued to work in TV and film throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with his final appearance coming in 1983's Brainstorm. He passed away in 1985 at age 52.
