Larry Poindexter is an American actor and singer born on December 16, 1959, in Dallas, Texas. He gained recognition for his role as Captain Tom Fuller in the 2003 TV series S.W.A.T., where he played a by-the-book LAPD captain opposite Samuel L. Jackson's character Hondo. Poindexter also appeared in notable roles on General Hospital, JAG, and Quantum Leap, among others.
