Hugh Keays-Byrne

Biography

Hugh Keays-Byrne was a British-Australian actor and film director born in Srinagar to British parents. He began his career on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company before establishing himself as a supporting actor in Australian action films, including "Stone" and "The Man from Hong Kong." He later gained international recognition for his roles in the Mad Max franchise, first as Toecutter and then as the villainous Immortan Joe.
