Biography

Luther Campbell is a pioneering American rapper and former leader of 2 Live Crew, credited with creating the Miami bass genre. A pioneer in Florida hip hop, his raw call-and-response lyrics made him notorious for their explicit content. In recent years, he has expanded into acting, starring in VH1's short-lived show "Luke's Parental Advisory," and pursuing a career in politics, running for U.S. Congress in Florida's 20th congressional district.
