Biography

Edward Binns was a renowned American actor born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who began his theatrical career shortly after graduating from Penn State University in 1937. As one of the first members of the Actors Studio, he studied with Elia Kazan and went on to appear in notable films such as Patton, Fail Safe, and The Verdict. Binns' distinctive voice also lent itself to numerous radio and television commercials. He passed away at 74 due to a heart attack while traveling from New York City to Connecticut.
