Delos V. Smith Jr.

Biography

Delos V. Smith Jr., born June 2, 1906, in Hutchinson, Kansas, was an American actor known for his roles in Miloš Forman's "Vol au-dessus d'un nid de coucou" and Hal Ashby's "En route pour la gloire". He also appeared in Larry Peerce's "Goodbye Columbus" and Arthur Hiller's "Transamerica Express". Smith Jr. was a dedicated philanthropist, leaving $20 million to fund elderly care projects upon his death in 1997.
