Marilyn Burns was an American actress born on May 7, 1949, in Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Drama and became one of the original scream queens, starring as Sally Hardesty in Tobe Hooper's influential horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). Burns also appeared in Eaten Alive (1976) and Future-Kill (1985), earning her scream queen status.
