Stuart Gordon

Biography

Stuart Gordon was a director, writer, and producer known for his provocative work in experimental theatre and horror cinema. He adapted several H.P. Lovecraft stories, including Re-Animator, From Beyond, and Castle Freak, as well as the Masters of Horror episode "Dreams in the Witch-House". Gordon also directed Edgar Allan Poe adaptations, The Pit and the Pendulum and The Black Cat, for film noir and horror.
