John Myatt

Biography

John Myatt is a British artist and author known for his work as a forger, creating fake artworks attributed to famous artists such as Francis Bacon. He later became a successful artist in his own right, and has written about his experiences in his 2011 memoir "The Forger's Spell". Myatt's work has been featured in several exhibitions and publications, including the 2020 documentary "Maledetto Modigliani".
